About this course
In this beginners course, you will be introduced to Vinyasa Flow Yoga at a gentle pace, suitable for beginners. You will be introduced to sun salutations, standing poses, forward and back bends, twists and inversions. You will learn breathing techniques to regulate stress & emotions. Most importantly you will discover how to use yoga to find emotional & mental stillnesss. Over and above all of this Nicole’s passion is helping you to discover your authentic self, without judgement, and with full acceptance. You can expect to leave each class feeling deeply connected to your innerself. Our studio is Covid compliant, so all Covid protocols are followed. Our studio has allocated spots to ensure social distancing regulations are met, and we have santizing and temperature checking stations. The space is well ventilated with several windows and doors staying open, not to mention two fans to keep the air circulating. We encourage our yoga practitioners to invest in their own yoga mat. If this is not possible please bring a full length towel to place over one of the studio mats that will be sanitized before and after class.
About Nicole Jardine
Throughout my life there has been questions - "there has to be more", "what am I missing?", "what next?". I studied, got a job, got married and had a beautiful daughter, but still something was missing. I was looking for answers outside myself. On my journey I learnt to look inside. Answering my questions brought a sense of balance to my life. This is what I want to share with everyone.
My mission is:
To encourage and equip peopel to be truly themselves, without judgement, and will full acceptance. People should be in a space where they are allowed to fully embrace themselves.
About the studio
The Art of Movement is a dance and yoga studio in Emmarentia, Johannesburg established in 2012. We boast a busy timetable of dancing and yoga for both children and adults.
Our yoga practitioners enjoy a wide variety of daily classes including Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga & Restorative Yoga. Our dance specialities include ballet, modern, contemporary, hip hop, tap and salsa for children and adults.
We follow the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing syllabus and partake in competition, exam and show work. We host regular workshops, beginners courses, and dance & yoga events.
