About Us

Ariel Fernandes

My name is Ariel, I have lived and breathed dance since the age of 7 until today. Ballet was the start of everything, it gave me a strong foundation to pick up on other dance styles that I was curious about. Today I am a qualified ISTD dance teacher & professionally trained and still training in the genres of ballet, contemporary, modern and tap dance. Some highlights in my dance career are; being awarded the title of Top Dancer at Reddam House Bedfordview in Grade 12, playing the lead role in a Monte Casino production where I represented the late RAD ballet teacher – Manuela Loureiro, Passing my Vocational & teaching ISTD Modern Dance exams with distinctions as well as Representing SA in the Dance World Cup in 2019 & 2022. I have danced on many stages nationally and internationally but have decided to dedicate my life to teaching dance to people of all ages to expose them to the miracle that is dance. Above all dancing has taught me a few life lessons: to speak without words, that you can achieve anything as long as you are willing to start from the bottom and build yourself up, that where there is passion there is power and finally that you can always improve, learn and work on yourself which keeps you humble. Dance is my life, it is my happy place.
